TIPS/TAPS

TIPS (Treatment Improvement Protocols) and TAPS (Treatment Assistance Protocols) are a series of published treatment guidelines. The Federal regulations for Opioid Treatment Programs are primarily based on the Institute of Medicine Report (1995, National Academy Press), State Methadone Treatment Guidelines (TIP1). They can be obtained from the National Clearinghouse on Drug and Alcohol Information (NCADI)
